About

Posters Up North originally started as just something to keep active during my lunch break by taking photos of any posters spotted around Manchester. Posters of Manchester archived over 1,000 posters from around Manchester and by designers/artists based in the city. As I ventured less into Manchester due to... everything, the nature of the blog became less photographic and almost fully digital based.

The aim is to showcase poster and print design from a thriving creative community in the North.

As the Instagram page continued, it made sense to expand the scope from just Manchester to the whole of the North. The aim of the Instagram feed and this website is to showcase poster and print design from a thriving creative community in the North. I hope that the website can provide greater opportunities to promote that creativity. Soon, I hope to create an online store and I hope that it can be a platform to sell work from local artists and where appropriate raise money for good causes.

I'm always looking for collaborators to get involved so if that interests you, please get in touch at hello@postersupnorth.co.uk.

Cheers,

Ric
