Art X Sport 2022

A project by Wonderstuff supporting the Newcastle Rugby Foundation in celebration of the Rugby League World Cup.

Newcastle-based, Wonderstuff, are running their annual Art x Sport project, celebrating the delayed 2021 Rugby League World Cup this year. They have assembled a squad of artists to interpret the World Cup, celebrating inclusion and diversity, onto a rugby ball. The unusual canvas provides a unique challenge that each has converted into a piece of art which are being auctioned off to raise money for the Newcastle Rugby Foundation.

The featured artist taking part in this years project are Adam Pointer, Kerry Neesam, David O'Malley, Dani Molyneux, James Rogers, Ben Tallon, Laura Scribbles and Paul Anderson.
