The fantastic magazine, NRTH LASS, is looking for entries for their online magazine. NRTH LASS was founded in an office kitchen in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire by Jessica Howell and Jenna Campbell. Their aim was twofold: to champion women living and working in the North of England, and dispel the myth that it's 'grim up North'. Reporting from Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool and Newcastle, and their interlinking regions, NRTH LASS covers diverse topics and alternative thinking all aimed at the modern, Northern woman.

We're looking for new online contributors covering a wide range of topics and themes. Whether you're from the North, live in the North or just love the North, we would love to hear your ideas, especially those which champion Northern women.

Guidelines
Email info@nrthlass.com, making sure to write PITCH in the subject line and a short synopsis of 2-3 lines outlining your idea and how you plan to progress the piece from the initial idea.
Note: For almost five years now, NRTH LASS has been run by two of us in our spare time, alongside a small group of writers, which is why at present we do not have the budget to pay contributors. Sales of each print issue cover our design, printing and distribution costs and we do not take an income from the magazine. Please only submit if this is the right project for you. As writers ourselves, we want to be transparent and we completely understand that this will rule out many potential contributors.
